Arenal Volcano, Costa Rica

One of Costa Rica’s most famous attractions still remains the Arenal Volcano, located in the small town of La Fortuna. It is one of the countries most scenic and natural wonders and is a definite noteworthy tourist attraction to visit.

The volcano itself is the most active and most studied among all of Costa Rica’s volcanoes. With its perfect cone shape, and unnerving consistent booms and rumbles, it leaves many tourists in a continuous state of awe. Being able to actually see an eruption is simply a matter of sheer luck for tourists, however many times through a cloud over, you are still able to the lava flowing down its side.

Tabacon Hot Springs:

Through a stream channeled from the volcano comes the wonderful and well known Tabacon Hot Springs. This wonderland is filled with naturally landscaped gardens and waterfalls, with the heat increasing at certain levels, providing tourists with natural water massage, pools, Jacuzzis and individual tubs.

This well known hotel features a restaurant overlooking the hot springs, 3 bars including a swim up bar in the main area. The hotels location provides the best view of the volcano and lava eruption and is an ideal place to visit, even for the day.
